Guild of the Christ Child...

“Those things which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, are seen in me, do and the peace of God shall be with you” – Philippians 4:19

Purpose:
The purpose of the guild is to concern itself with the parents of candidates for Baptism, before and after the Baptisms.  Baptisms occur on the five designated times in the Christian calendar, as cited in the Book of Common Prayer.

The Guild of the Christ Child is a feeder group to the Church School.  It coordinates the paperwork pertaining to Baptism. After the Baptisms, the Guild maintains contact with the child, so that at the appropriate age the child becomes a member of the Church School.

The Guild of The Christ Child staff should be contacted after submission of the Online Baptism Application Form, or for any questions regarding the form or the Baptism process.

Who may join?
Anyone, male or female, interested in preparing candidates for Holy Baptism.  Meetings are held as necessary.

Holy Baptism is especially appropriate at the Easter Vigil, on the Day of Pentecost, on All Saints' Day or the Sunday after All Saints' Day, and on the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord (the First Sunday after the Epiphany). It is recommended that, as far as possible, Baptisms be reserved for these occasions or when a bishop is present.
